BRIDGES
When one or more teeth are lost, the remaining teeth can shift out of alignment leading to change in your bite, decay, gum disease or the loss of additional teeth. A bridge is one or more artificial teeth anchored by one or more crowns on each side. Bridges are fabricated in a dental laboratory and may be full metal or porcelain or a combination just like crowns. You can also replace missing teeth with dental implants. See our service section on implants for more information.

CROWNS
Whenever a tooth has severe decay, fracture, or has a large, old filling, a crown may be necessary. A crown will cover and bind together the remaining tooth structure, thereby strengthening and improving the function and appearance of your teeth. Crowns are fabricated in our dental laboratory and require two appointments for completion. Types of crowns include: metal crowns which are made of gold or alloys, porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns which combine the strength of metal with the esthetics of porcelain, and full porcelain ceramic crowns fabricated using our state of the art CEREC inLab technology.
Prevention and treatment of tooth decay is part of the first line of defense of maintaining optimum dental health. When decay is detected, a filling may be required restore your tooth to health. If your tooth is not repaired, the decay may advance into the nerve chamber resulting in the need for a root canal. Sometimes existing fillings must be replaced due to new decay, defects or cracks, or esthetic concerns. Fillings can also be used to repair fractured teeth.
