This course will review the impact of dentistry on our patients over their lifetime. The cases presented will involve the young patients as they are referred for orthodontics and the cosmetic, health-minded adults and senior citizens.  The general dentist is the guardian of the health of the masticatory system. The comprehensive co-discovery examination process using today’s digital tools, leads to acceptance of optimum dentistry, which is most rewarding to dentist and patient.  Ultimately, creative treatment planning comes down to what course of treatment saves the most teeth and fulfills the patient’s needs and desires.  Longevity must outweigh immediate gratification. Imaginative treatment planning is the escape from single-tooth emergency-driven dentistry and implements the broad vistas of new technologies and time honored dental wisdom.

Participants will learn:

  • How to do more dentistry with less stress and in less time by comprehensive examination and comprehensive treatment planning.
  • Review of successful treatment plans over a 27-year period.
  • How to use the new digital technology to increase patient education and acceptance of optimal dentistry.
  • The use of CAD/CAM dentistry and the newest esthetic materials and procedures for posterior and anterior restorations.
  • How to resolve prosthetic dilemmas that arise 5-10 years after restoration without completely starting over, saving the patient time, trauma and money.
  • How to restore and entire posterior quadrant with long lasting tooth colored restorations that mimic natural healthy teeth by using CAD/CAM technology to its fullest level by blending indirect laboratory restorations.
